Why is our oil called JUGALE?

This is one of the questions we are asked most often, and the answer is very simple but full of meaning: JUGALE is a tribute to my grandfather, Salvatore Carvelli, the founder of our farm and the man who gave rise to everything This.


My grandfather was known to everyone as "Jugale", an affectionate nickname which in our area evoked his strong personality, his deep bond with the land and his dedication to work. He was a simple and authentic man, who knew how to listen to everyone and help everyone.


When we decided to create an oil that represented the essence of our company and our family, we could only dedicate the name JUGALE to it. Each bottle tells its story and carries forward its values: passion, authenticity and respect for the land.


JUGALE is not just a name, but a promise of quality, tradition and love for our work.

Hand harvested and cold pressed

Extra virgin olive oil is considered the best in the world especially due to its low oleic acid content. In fact, it contains less than one percent, just enough to offer numerous health benefits, including keeping blood cholesterol levels within normal limits.

Its composition, based on first pressing olives, is also the origin of its quality.

Our production of organic extra virgin olive oil is controlled in all its phases, from the harvesting of the olives to the bottling of the finished product, to ensure our customers a documented and certified quality.

Furthermore, at the Salvatore Carvelli Agricultural Company in Mesoraca we deal with its direct sale, from producer to consumer, at zero km and without intermediaries
